COURSE OVERVIEW

 

Aims                                               

This course focuses on primary and secondary approaches to the prevention of crime, in order to provide participants with skills from which they can reduce crime in the workplace. The skills will draw from principles of workplace psychology, environmental criminology and security administration. The emphasis in the course will be on the “environment”, the social, cultural and physical. It will provide participants with information on crime prevention that will enable them to create safer, more secure, and more vibrant workplace.

  • Participants will learn how to ensure workers can get safely to and from where they work at height
  • Participants will learn how to ensure equipment is suitable, stable and strong enough for the job, maintained and checked regularly
  • Participants will learn how take precautions when working on or near fragile surfaces
  • Participants will learn how to provide protection from falling objects
  • It will consider emergency evacuation and rescue procedures
  • Participants will learn how to use ladders or stepladders for strenuous or heavy tasks.
  • It will ensure workers can get safely to and from where they work at height;
  • Participants will learn how to ensure equipment is suitable, stable and strong enough for the job, maintained and checked regularly;
  • Participants will learn how to make sure they don’t overload or overreach when working at height;
  • Participants will learn how to provide protection from falling objects; and how to plan emergency evacuation and rescue procedures.

Examination
We have sets of EXAMS for each of the package in addition to practical assignments which you must pass before certification. Pass mark is 50%. If you fail any of the exams, you would be required to re-sit it at the cost N3000 per paper.

Duration, Delegates and Responsibilities
The duration of the course is 1 day. The course is delivered in our Full Multi-Media, Air-conditioned Training Laboratory. The course can also be delivered as an in- House Training Program in your premises. For in-house training, the minimum number of persons required per class is 6 persons, if you are training a class that is less than 6 persons, your payment may cover payment for 6 persons.

We shall execute the program as presented in this schedule with our materials, equipment and instructors, and issue certificates to participants at the end of the program. If the training is holding at our Training Laboratory, we shall serve tea/coffee with snacks and lunch during the program.

If you want the training to hold in your company premises, you are to provide the training hall and serve tea/coffee with snacks and lunch during the program. If the training location is outside Lagos, Abuja and Port Harcourt, an additional cost to cover logistics at such a location will be added to the total cost unless provided or specific arrangement is made by the company.
