COURSE OVERVIEW
This course is delivered in association with TVE International Academy,  a CQI-IRCA (Chartered Quality Institute and International Register of Certificated Auditors) Approved Training Partner, ATP Number: 6023829. TVE is one of the leading providers of Management System Training and offering a wide range of Management Systems courses. The ISO 27001 Information Security Management System (ISMS) Lead Auditor training is a CQI-IRCA Certified Course Ref. No. 1717. The course is results-driven and meet internationally defined standards by adopting accelerated learning techniques. This certified course will provide you with an internationally  recognized skills and qualification in lead auditing. It teaches students the principles, processes, and techniques used for the assessment of and management of the Principles of Information Security Management System; and their significance for ISMS lead auditors. This certificate is also fully  recognized by many other international bodies as part of the training requirements for auditor registration under the lead auditor schemes. COURSE OUTCOMES
 At the end of this course students shall be able to:

• Explain the purpose of an Information Security Management System (ISMS) and explain the processes involved in establishing, implementing, operating and monitoring, reviewing and improving an ISMS as defined in ISO 27001, including the significance of these for ISMS auditors
• Explain the purpose, content and interrelationship of ISO 27001 to other relevant standards and the legislative framework relevant to an ISMS
• Apply an in-depth knowledge of the ISO 27001 audit and certification process
• Have the skills and knowledge needed to conduct third party audits against the requirements of the ISO 27001 Information Security Management Systems and to report and follow-up the results
• Meet the training requirements for registration as an ISMS Auditor or Lead Auditor
• Understand Information Security management terminology, principles, processes, and techniques for the assessment the Information Security Management System including their significance for Information Security Systems
• Understand the role of an Information Security Lead Auditor to plan, conduct, report, and follow-up an audit in accordance with ISO 19011, ISO/IEC 17021 and IOS/IEC TR 17022.

COURSE ASSESSMENT

CQI and IRCA online exams are delivered through an online assessment system called SARAS. You will have access to two SARAS portals – one for your practice questions and the other for your exam. The portal links are shown below.

To log into your practice questions and exam you will need a username and password after registration for the exam.

EXAM FORMAT

All Lead Auditor online exams are structured as follows:

The exam questions will be a mix of:

• Multiple choice (choose one correct answer)
• Multiple response (choose several correct answers)
• Fill in the blanks (drag and drop the correct words into the sentence)
• Matching (drag and drop responses to correctly match items)
• Sequencing (drag and drop responses to form the correct order)

The last two sections of the exam will include scenario questions related to conducting, reporting on, and closing out audits. You will be asked to evaluate the scenario presented to you and select the correct course(s) of action.

All questions will be computer-marked. The exams are open book, so you can refer to your notes from your training course. However, you are not permitted to use the internet to search for answers to questions. You will need access to a copy of the ISO management systems requirements standard associated with your course to answer some of the questions. The standards can be paper or electronic format.

To help you prepare for your exam, CQI-IRCA created 24 practice questions for the Lead Auditor exam. You are strongly advised to take the practice questions before taking your online exam to familiarize yourself with the question types and how SARAS works. You will have 30 days from the last day of your course to take your exam.

REMOTE PROCTORING

CQI and IRCA online exams are invigilated remotely, using Easy Proctor. The system will:

1. Take an image of your photo identification (photo ID) and your face
2. Record you for the duration of your exam using your webcam and microphone
3. Record your computer screen for the duration of your exam

Acceptable forms of photo identification include: Current valid international passport, current driving licence and National identification card. Once you have completed the exam, Easy Proctor will compare your photo ID with your facial image to verify you are the same person and will analyse the recording of your exam session for any anomalies such as unexpected sounds, movements, objects, or people. It will then flag these incidents to the CQI for further investigation.

EXAM RESULTS
Once you have completed your exam, the CQI will review the findings from your proctoring recording and if there are no issues, the results will be available for your training provider to download within 10 UK working days. If you have not received your results within 14 working days of taking your exam, please contact your training provider.

CERTIFICATE

An CQI-IRCA approved certificate for those who successfully complete all sections of the course, including 100% attendance, written and practical skills assessment. For students applying to CQI-IRCA for auditor registration, a certificate of successful course completion will be required which has been completed within 5 years of applying.

PROFESSIONAL MEMBERSHIP

This course satisfies the formal training requirements for those wishing to register with CQI-IRCA as a Lead Auditor, the certificate fully recognised as part of the training requirements for auditor registration under the lead auditor schemes.

Cash payment is not allowed. Payment in any convenient instalment is allowed starting with a minimum of 50% of the total training fee before receipt of training materials, however candidate must complete payment in full 3 days before class start date.

Physical Classroom

• Safeguard physical classroom study allows you to get away from the distractions from workplaces and homes to enable concentrate on your training until completion.
• It provides learners a great opportunity to condense their study within the training the days compared to our Distance Learning Program which can be studied over a relatively longer period.
• The classroom setting allows learners to learn in our safe, quiet, clean multi-media training laboratory, away from the noise and pressures of their work or their homes.
• Again, learners could be large which allows the classroom environment to provide the important “human touch” that teaches learners how to interact physically with one another in a professional, productive and cooperative way which is often missing in distance learning program.

Live Virtual Classroom

• If you have the time for classroom study but you are not available to join our classroom session due to distance or location, then our Live Virtual Class is your best alternative.
• Our live virtual class is easy to follow and can be completed within the same time as the physical classroom. Learners can join remotely and learn ‘live’ online with a tutor just as they would in a classroom.
• You get all the benefits of structured classroom learning but with the convenience of the digital world, studying where you like. Our learners can remotely join the virtual class from any location in the world through live video conferencing with the Zoom Technology using a PC, laptop, tablet or a smart phone.
• Learners are advised to download and install the Zoom application in their devices for this purpose and secure a reliable internet service in advance to enable access to the live virtual class.
• Throughout the course, learners can see and interact with the tutor and with other learners. Group interaction enhances learning; learners learn from one another as well as from the tutor.
• Our live virtual class provides practical, flexible and convenient ways of learning, designed to fit around you and your needs.
• Learners are able to drop questions on the chat box in group or private chat the Tutor and learners can also request to ask questions while the training is going on.
• Daily take-home assignment will be posted in chat box and on the group WhatsApp which will be reviewed by the tutor at the beginning of each day’s tutorial.
• There will be workbook and course workbook which will be completed by learners and submitted for tutor’s evaluation.
• A revision class and a mock examination will be arranged to prepare learners for the final examination.
